"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." -Benjamin Franklin The Richmond Beer Lovers Meetup group was started with two things in mind: good people, and good beer. Our goal is to bring together craft beer lovers from all over the Richmond metropolitan area to enjoy good conversation and good times over our favorite, frosty social lubricant: BEER! Who we are: Our membership includes beer lovers from all corners of the beer world... from beer geeks and home brewers, to folks who …
What is this meetup group all about? Hurray Beer is first and foremost about enjoying beer and socializing in Hampton Roads. We look for new places to experience, as well as enjoying old favorites. Who should join? Anyone who is at least age 21, and appreciates beer in all it's forms, lagers, ales, and hard …

We are a group based in the DC Metro area that love craft beer and trying new things. Beer Snobs need not apply. We meet 2–3 times a month, the first Thursday of each month we meet at Meridian Pint in DC (starting January 2013) and the first Saturday a month we tour a local (or not too distant) brewery. We also have some outdoor activities such as hiking and biking followed by beer, bottle shares, beer dinners, and soon beer classes!

A social group for 30's and 40's formed around our shared love of craft beer. Not all of our events involve beer, but as members we do things like brewery tours, attending beer release parties, happy hours, bottle shares and local craft beer festivals. In order to join this group, please be fun, upbeat, and enjoy craft beer. Fresh faces, and first time Meetup attendees, are definitely encouraged to join!

I'm starting this group because I would like to meet up with a group of good peeps on a regular basis to discuss the issues of the day like health care reform, recycling (just kidding), the bailouts, guns and gun policy, hunting, VA politics, and the answers to questions like, "Why are we here?" over massive quantities of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Guinness:) Actually, just kidding. I don't personally want to get hammered, but a beer or two over some good political and philosophical discussion w …

Meetup group intended to explore Washington's craft beer scene. There are plenty of interesting taps around the city and some breweries as well. We'll try to sample some of their wares, and we'll do so in a way that respects the beverage, the craft, and each other (i.e., this is NOT for the binge crowd!). Anyone interested in tasting and learning about a chronically underrated and underestimated craft, and doing so in moderation, is invited to join. We do monthly events, and if you want to mee …
This is a great chance for all beer lovers, home brewers, and meade fans to meet on a weekly basis with the luxury of having Cork & Fork Wine and Beer store as the venue! The best way to learn is to experience, and with beer, the best way to experience is to taste. Every week we will go through new beers, try different styles, chat about what we like and don't like, and generally talk about beer and beer related products.

Established October 24th, 1992, we are the Richmond kennel of the internationally known Hash House Harriers or the "Drinking club with a running problem." Each week runners (and plenty of walkers) follow a trail of flour or chalk somewhere in the Richmond area in search of beer, songs, generally poor behavior and beer. If you are interested in meeting new people, seeing par …

Chess is a lot of fun if you don't take it too seriously. It's a game that is over 500 years old and it still drives people insane. You've got to respect that! This club is not for "good" players. It's for new to intermediate players that enjoy talking/teaching chess as much as they do playing. Even if you don't want to play but enjoy talking chess, then this club is for you.

This group is for people who would rather entertain in their own home than go out to a restaurant for fun. If you don't have the room for entertaining then that's ok but you need to be willing to contribute food and drink on a regular basis when other members hold events in their homes. The idea is for someone to host a get together (dinner party, wine tasting, movie night, barbecue, whatever) and determine a "theme". The host(ess) generally provides the main dish and the others bring theme o …
