San Francisco/Peninsula Beer Club

Beer Club is a weekly social meet-up for a couple of beers after work. A chance to meet new people in the area, in a relaxed social atmosphere. If anyone's familiar with the awesome beer club Mo used to run in the South Bay (http://community.... ), that's the kind of thing I'm aiming for. I've moved up to a job in the big city, and am missing the old beer club, so thought I'd have a go at reviving it at the other end of the peninsula. As with the old Beer Club, it will be in a different bar each Thursday at 6-7ish. I'll try an make every week, though could drop down to every other week, or every month. I'll be basing it around my new office at 2nd and Mission, or somewhere further south on the Peninsula that is doable by Caltrain. I'll try to choose interesting places, that have a bit of character. If possible I'll go for somewhere that serves food, and if not I will lead a quick takeway dash mid-meeting. As always this event is dependent on getting enough people coming to make it worth my while. So hope you can make it!

CANCELLED! Watch the Champions League Final @ Beale Street Bar
CANCELLED WILL BE GOING TO THIS EVENT INSTEAD.
So for the first time in the history of the Champions League (the most prestigious European football competition) two English teams (Manchester United and Chelsea) will be contesting the final. The kick-off is 7:45pm GMT so it will be 11:45am Pacific Time.
I'll be watching it at the Beale Street Bar and Grill in downtown SF, if anyone want to join me. Read more
