hello there,

good point on understanding that start times seem a bit early.most people here work a job that may have them leaving work and arriving a bit later.most suppliers and vendors do not have a problem with time as long as the host site is not having a special that evening.later is better for turn out.yes we do need seperate city meetups, especially if the early times are kept.my opinion.

Hi Everyone,

I want to make a couple of comments based on the messages I am getting. One that continually comes up are comments that someone can't make a meetup because of the start time. Unless we are doing a time-sensitive event, such as a tasting or beer dinner, you do not need to arrive at the start time. Most events are just a casual session of enjoying great beer. Tomorrow night's cask event starts at 5, but people will be there enjoying some great cask ale until well past 7:00. There will be two different casks. If you arrive by 6, you should have no problem getting a chance to try both ales. Even if you arrive after 7, I'm guessing the second cask will still be going strong. So, please, don't let the start time of a particular event effect your decision. Come on out and enjoy some great beer!

I also want to continue adding more great events to our calendar. If you know of something that sounds like our group would enjoy it, please send me a note and let me know about it.

Finally. I need assistant organizers for Durham and also the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area. I often make it to the events in these areas, but live in North Raleigh and can't always. If someone would like to help out, we can add more events in these areas, particularly Chapel Hill. You only need to help if you plan on attending the event. Your responsibilities are minimal. I set everything up, just need someone to be in charge of letting everyone know where our group is hanging out and drinking good beer. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks. Hope to see many of you out tomorrow night!
