About Portland Microbrew Tasting Group

We are a group of friendly, relaxed people with neither strict policies nor pay-in-advance fees. Our mission? To locate and savor the best microbrews in town, have fun conversation and make great friends!

Calendar
The amount of time I can devote to this group is going to vary a lot, so I apologize in advance for months where we may not have as many events on our calendar. I'll try my best! During periods when I can't devote as much time, I may post "unhosted" events. That way everybody can meet somewhere and see the RSVP list, but there may not be an official host present at the event.


We don't charge in advance
Unless there is a special need, our group will not be charging in advance for any events. Instead, you can just show up to the event - when events require a ticket or take place at a restaurant, you may simply order and pay individually.


We are understanding about RSVP changes
Ideally we all like to keep our RSVPs, but if your plans do change at the last minute, we are flexible and understanding. If we post an event that requires firm RSVPs for some reason, we'll let you know in the event description. Otherwise, we understand that life happens, because we're pretty busy too.


Safety
We strongly encourage using public transit or a designated driver if you'll be drinking. If you are new to Meetup, I personally don't encourage you to post your full name and birth date on your profile since ID theft is the fastest growing crime in Oregon. We also don't recommend carpooling to Meetups with members who you don't yet know, or meeting anyone you do not know yet in their home or any other isolated location. Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns


Privacy
If you experience any issues with an unwanted person following you to Meetup events, or if you are receiving unwanted contact from a member of this Meetup group, or any other such behavior, please feel free to share these concerns with Natanya, Brandy, or directly with Meetup Support. You'll make Meetup a better experience for everybody by helping us monitor and prevent potential problems. We want you to have fun, feel safe, and be comfortable!
